ombre nails 💛

 hi family, I bent my left index nail sooooo bad it bruised the whole way across like 2 days ago while I was washing my hair. yeeeeeooooooowwwcch 😿💔💔💔. so I didn't wash my hair for 2 days.... oily .. but I told Lilly the night I'd done that, and she was able to get me in on Friday to have my nails fixed and redone 🙂‍↕️🫶.

 I have like 50$ rn so my mom paid for my nails. Last night she was like, "you're getting something simple this time, right...? like an ombre or something ..?", which I thought was funny cus that isn't necessarily simple to do depending on whether you're using polish (simple), or encapsulated acrylic (simple but time consuming) or gel (not simple), but she's so used to the extreme bullshit I always get that that is simple in comparison LOLOL!! 

 I was originally just gonna get a sparkly printer ink yellow like my shirt today since that's one of my most favoritest colors, and I don't think I've done yellow on my nails before 🤔.. but when I came in Lilly was like, "if price wasn't an issue, what would you get?". And it's like,.. I only have extreme designs and decorations with 3D shit saved bro... so I was struggling to find more 'simple' pictures with the same general 'feeling' I was wanting. I also told her I was debating bringing 2 of my fav polishes, DNC 'Miami Platinum' (HOT pink :-3) and Cre8tion reg. 16 (tangerine (⁠◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠)♡), to do an ombre using those since they're 2 of my most favoritest colors, and I haven't used either one in a grillion years. So today she did a beautiful ombre using yellow, orange, and bright pink :-3..!! yippee!! 

I thought about bringing Dani today.. I should've 😭!!

 Easily my least expensive set yet, but it was very time consuming compared to the last 2. She had to file off any lifting and fill, and then rebalance and shape to accommodate where the new apex is with all the growth. Time consuming.. Also, I already knew from doing my own nails, but I use my left hand waaaayyyy more than my right; pretty much all the product on my nail plates had to be rebuilt because I use this hand so much more (⁠٥◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠).

 She used hard gels for the color today (⁠◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠).. they're so pretty, but the amount of time it takes to shape after application is painful.. Also hadn't seen the colored hard gels used yet; after application using the glitter ones you do a top coat, and then file to shape and get rid of lumps and bulk, cus then you don't lose any of the glitter itself. It's also easier to start from the bottom (free edge) and work your way to the cuticle doing an ombre using these. I'm writing all this out so I remember, cus I do the opposite using polish; sorry family 🙏.

 It turned out so beautifully tho family 😋💛! It was hard to get pictures and have all 3 colors show up properly, so I'll need to take more pictures while I have this set 🙂‍↕️!
